In a nutshell, I practice and teach Pilates because I love what it brings to me and to others: feeling stronger, more agile, supple, being able to move more freely, and ultimately an overall sense of wellbeing.

My passion for movement has been with me for as long as I can remember, out of necessity first in my early years, while still living in my home town in Italy, and having to cycle every morning, a rather long way, to school, and later while living in Oxford still cycling, to save money!

Fast forwarding few years, I still cycle, but along the way I discovered few more things that keep me happy and moving: swimming, climbing, yoga, and more recently paragliding.

In all of this, Pilates has been for me a natural process of exploring how our bodies work and move. In the end Pilates, together with yoga, have become my foundation, and regular conditioning to help keeping my body strong, supple and agile.

Pilates has taught me to slow down, to breathe better, to move with awareness, and to notice how my body responds to movement.

Not my words, but close enough as to how I feel my teaching goes:

"I believe that if I cannot feel it then I cannot talk about it or teach it. How will I reach the center of you, if I haven’t learnt to reach the center of me?" (unknown)
